The MGGS Development Trust is the dedicated charitable arm of MGGS, committed to fostering a strong, vibrant, and forward-thinking school community.
We raise and manage funds to support ambitious projects, enrich student life, preserve MGGS heritage, and build a lasting legacy for future generations.
Our mission is to connect people, passion, and purpose. We believe in the power of education, community, and history to shape bright futures — for students today and alumni for years to come.
Through our work:
- We bring to life the WW2 Experience, preserving our school's historic tunnels and delivering an immersive educational programme.
- We drive fundraising efforts to enhance school facilities and opportunities.
- We build a strong community of alumni, parents, and friends, uniting generations around our shared love for MGGS.
- We support and improve school life — investing in resources, enrichment, and initiatives that benefit every student.
Our School Development
The MGGS Development Trust has been raising funds for the school since 2011 through the generosity of parents, alumni, and friends of the school. Thanks to this incredible support, we have been able to achieve the following:
- Replaced the failing power distribution system in the main hall, allowing stage lighting to be used once again
- Refurbished the school library, creating a brighter and more inspiring learning environment
- Created The Woodland Garden – a space to remember and reflect, offering a peaceful area for students and staff
To sustain Maidstone Grammar School for Girls' continued success, it is vital that the MGGS Development Trust continues to grow. This ensures we can provide the very best facilities and opportunities for our students, supporting them both academically and pastorally.

How You Can Get Involved
There are many ways to support our mission. You can:

Development Trust Ambassadors (DTAs)
The MGGS Development Trust runs an ambassador programme that is led by one of the school's Head Students. The ambassadors help to promote the work of the trust and by doing so they also gain valuable skills and experience and have fun along the way!
